Grade P3 IS 2036 -1995

Technical Description : These are Paper Based Laminated Bakelite sheets confirming to specification, as per IS:2036.Bakelite sheet Grade P3 have excellent electrical and adequate mechanical properties. Low water absorption. Suitable for high-tension electrical application even under tropical conditions. P3 Grade Bakelite sheets can also be manufactured with additional layers of Melamine overlay surface at both the sides of the sheet which will provide excellent resistance to surface tracking and dry arcing.

Applications : Transformer and choke bobbins for power electronics. Relay spacers, HV transformer tap changes, Grid covers, Selector Bank insulation, switch gear insulating panels, crane panels, etc.

Thickness : Thickness of Bakelite sheets ranges from 0.9 MM – 50.0 MM.

Size : Standard size of Bakelite sheets: 1220 x 1220mm (4 ft x 4 ft) or 2440mm x 1220mm (8ft x 4ft).

Tolerance : Sheets are supplied as per tolerance specified in IS:2036. More closer tolerance can be met as per customers’ specific requirement.

Colors : Available sheet colors are natural brown.
