Glass Fibre Woven Or Glass Polyester Fibre Woven Tapes

GLASS FIBRE Tape made from yarn of continuous filament glass fibres (usually known as “E” glass) containing not more than 1 percent of alkali calculated as sodium oxide.

The Polyester yarn of continuous filament polyethylene terephthalate (PET) of heat set.

Tape is woven in plain weave selvedges. The selvedges is uniform and not calendered. The picks are interlocked at or near the selvedge opposite the one from which weft is inserted ; thus preventing unraveling of the selvedges during use. The tape is interlocked such a way that the thread will not pulled out of the body.

Tape is marked with centre line.

Tape conforming to the specification IS : 5352 (Part 1) 1999
